Introducing the New Association for the Interactive Digital Media Industry of New Brunswick.
Fredericton, NB: Today marks an exciting day for the interactive digital media industry in New Brunswick as we announce our new association to represent the sector, The New Brunswick Interactive Association/Association Interactive du Nouveau-Brunswick (InteractiveNB). InteractiveNB results from many conversations across the industry within and outside the province on the sector's representation. Its founding allows our industry to have a voice not just in the province, but within the larger interactive digital media ecosystem of the country as well.
InteractiveNB is a grassroots community for people working in the fields of Augmented Reality, Edutainment, E-learning, Gaming, Interactive Storytelling, Mixed Reality, Mobile App Development, Mobile Games, Three Dimensional Simulations, Video Games, Virtual Reality, and everything in between. Our purpose is to create opportunities for the creative talent in the province and give them more options to do what they love from their home. Our primary objective is to foster this community and represent the interests of the sector to the public, educators, and the government. This work moves us towards the vision of a sustainable interactive digital media sector in the province that employs our already talented population.
The establishment of this organization has taken many years to come to fruition, but it is not the end of the journey. There is a lot of work we must do to reach our vision, which will take the collective efforts of our industries. As new members join us, we are prepared to add their voices to ours and communicate their needs to all. We’re setting our foundations so we can welcome these new voices, and as we do so, we call out to any member of the interactive digital media sector, from public or private institutions, to join us in crafting a better future for creative talent in the province.
